Create text in Word document - Use WordArt for the fancy stuff.

Highlight and "Copy" to clipboard

Open CAD drawing and click "Edit" & "Paste Special", paste as "%Product Entity"

Then "Extrude" not forgetting to use the "Subtract" command afterwards for letters with islands

such as "a", "A", "O", "B" etc.

You can obtain some good results, especially after rendering.
